Drums and guitar minimally

 

What are your musical achievements?

  • Played at many Eisteddfods

  • Majored in Music at Mount Lawley College in 1986, studying Bachelor of Education for 1 year

  • Director of Music at Wagga Wagga Baptist Church (2010 – 2015) including a high-school age Youth Band

  • Director of Music for Carols by Candlelight for Wagga Wagga Community for 3 yrs (2012 – 2014)

  • Accompanied HSC & AMEB students for exams

  • Played keyboard in many bands (both secular & church events), organising music for many different instruments

  • Composed songs

 

What are your strengths as a piano teacher?

My enthusiasm to see children progress in different styles; good sight reading skills; good communication skills; experience with my own children in their musical progress; a desire to have students join in ensembles with other instruments and to perform at recitals and concerts whenever possible.

 

What do you like about teaching piano?

Seeing children progress and watching them achieve something that they couldn’t achieve without a teacher helping them.
